Benefit/Too Faced

Needed a new mascara my Diorshow was running low (and drying out) so I decided to try Too Faced Lash Injection, of course I just couldn't pick up one thing so I ended up getting Benefit's Coralista Boxed Blush which has been catching my eye for quite some time now!

Too Faced Lash Injection:
Great mascara. Smells strangly good...hard to describe, gives really good volume and okay length but you have to apply several coats for it to do its magic. I wonder if i used a primer with this if it would work better? hmmm. One good thing is that no matter how many strokes or coats you apply it never clumps! You can work it in until your lashes are plump yet seperated! My lashes feel really soft and healthy with it on too...this product does not make them feel hard and brittle like alot of mascaras tend to do. Don't know yet if it gets flaky..I'll have to test it some more! Overall I like it, I'm gonna keep using it for now...I give this product 4 out of 5 stars!

Benefit Coralista:
Gorgeous. Enough said...okay I'll talk more haha. This blush is absolutely gorgeous. It is crazy pigmented and you need the smallest amount on your brush...I wasn't expecting it to be so pigmented so in the pics below it might look like I'm wearing too much..I'll know for next time! It's a pinkish coral with subtle shimmer...not too chunky..just right! it reminds me of Nars Orgasm a little except Orgasm has a bit more peach and more of a golden shimmer to it. And this is odd but I actually like the little brush that comes with it!! Anyway...this was a little expensive....($35.00) but I have a feeling it will last a long time! I give this blush 5 out of 5 stars!!

Skin Care

I started getting mild acne in university and I never really found anything that cleared up my skin without drying it out...I tend to break out in my T-Zone...and get oily mid-day no matter what. I tried proactive which was okay...but it really didn't make my skin feel healthy. I tried Clinique 3-step which is not for acne prone skin...could possibly be good for other skin types. I even tried Cliniques 3 step acne solution kit which reaaaally dried me out. I decided to try the Murad acne complex line and so far i like it. The cleanser feels great..not overdrying. The second step which is the clarifying gel works well but I can't use it everyday..tried that and my face was sooo dry and flaky! I use it like once or twice a week max. The moisturizer that comes with it is really nice. It is oil free and had retinol and sodium hyluronate which is great for your skin (also anti-aging). It's called "skin perfecting lotion". I will definitely re-purchase the cleanser and moisturizer. I think the gel treatment and spot treatments will last me a while. I've been kinda lazy with my blog lately..sorry I didn't post any pics but here's a link to these products.

Foundation Routine

Step 1 (Primer): first of all I start off with my favorite primer (after moisturizing of course): Smashbox Photo Finish. I actually just bought a new one..my first one lasted me six months. The few weeks I went without it...I could really feel a difference in my skin, I just needed to get some more!! Even if I don't wear foundation I still wear this because it acts as a skin treatment too...it has anti-oxidents and peptides!

Step 2 (Foundation): I bought Smashbox's High Definition Healthy Fx Foundation in Light 4 and it's great! It's oil-free and really good for your skin, it has spf 15, and it has sephora's "natural seal" of products that are supposed to be more natural and good for your skin. Now I don't know if you would like this if you require full coverage, but since my skin has been clearing up this is perfect! I "dab" the product on each cheek, my nose, forehead, and chin then I blend it all together with a foundation brush. It even works good with your fingers if you're in a rush. After it's all blended I just put a small amount of Benefits Boing Concealer under my eyes.

Step 3 (Powder): I don't ALWAYS use this step...I'm not usually one for setting my foundation with powder I personally think it CAN make you look kinda chaulky at times...That's what I used to find anyway if I put anything over Studio Fix fluid. With the Smashbox Foundation because it doesn't look or feel heavy at all, I like to set it with a little bit of MAC's MSF Natural in Medium Plus using my 150 brush. Can't say how much I love MAC's MSF Naturals...they are amazing! I even wear it alone sometimes!

That's all for now! What are your favorite face products???

Urban Decay/MAC

So I ordered the Urban Decay Get Baked pallete from Sephora and it's gorgeous! It comes with the following:
-4 shadows (left to right as shown in pic below) twice baked, half baked, flipside, and baked
-UDPP in Sin
-24/7 pencil in Bourbon

So the shadows are amazing...in the pics below I'm wearing baked and half baked on my lids, and flipside (the bright teal) on my lower lashline. I actually took these pics after wearing the shades all day and they are still pretty vibrant. I sill prefer my MAC Bare study paint pot though as a primer....I mean the UDPP is great but I think the paint pots make things last longer in my opinion. As far as the eyeliner goes.....I was very very surprised. I've heard so many great things about the 24/7 pencils...(they are pigmented, last all day, don't budge etc). I wasn't a huge fan...I prefer the MUFE ones to these. The UD pencil hardly showed up over my shadows...and was useless on the water line...now maybe the black one (zero) that everyone talks about it better but this one was..meh....i even used it once wearing ONLY MAC Bare Study to see if I could get a bit more pigment and it still didn't impress me..I think I'm wearing Dipdown fluidline in the pics below btw. Anyway..all in all I think this kit is a good deal! It's great for a summer bronzed look..and I love how they have that bright teal in there for a pop of color!

So I went to MAC and bought another MSF Natural in Medium Plus and a Dazzleglass in Smile...of course MAC never fails to impress me. MSF Naturals are freaking amazing...lately I've been buffing it in with a kabuki (without foundation under) and it's perfect...you would never know I have some major T zone blemish issues. As for the Dazzleglasses...LOVE these too..I wanna go back and get more lol. They last a long time...a tiny bit sticky but I mean you need a little bit of stick to make it last long..still feels great on the lips. Smile is like a coral shade..great for the summer..I think it would suit any skin tone. I wanna get sugarrimmed (spelling?) and baby sparks sometime too! I never took pics of these MAC items but I'm sure you all know what they look like...I'm wearing them in the pics below :) Anyway...that's all for now..have a great day!!

Viva Glam 5

So first of all I just wanted to fill anyone who's wondering in on why I chose the name "vivaglamt" weeellll...I'm not exactly the type to have nicknames like that.....not that it's an actual nickname of mine lol...I jut wanted to come up with something at least a little original. I mean ever since IM was invented way back whenever my most interested nickname was just my actual name with maybe a star or smiley face haha....I'm pretty boring when it comes to that stuff. Anyways..I was trying to think of something that's a favorite makeup product of mine and incorporate it into my blogger name. First I thought of my first eyeshadow colors I ever bought at MAC and they were Naked Lunch and Steamy...........hmmmmmm maybe a little too provocative haha...so I decided on my favorite lipstick which is.......you guessed it viva glam 5. A pretty neutral beigy pink lustre finish lipstick from MAC that I continue to re-purchase time and time again. In my opinion it can be worn with just about any look and on almost every skin tone! Great for the everyday working girl....for the bluhing bride...or even a night out - glammed up with some gloss even! It has a little shimmer to it and of course that classic delicious MAC signature soft vanilla scent...god i love that!! Anyway I'm wearing it in the pic above!!

First Blog!!!

So I've been obsessed with makeup and all things beauty for a few years now and a while back I came across some Youtube videos and discovered there were others like me!! I'M NOT ALONE!!! LOL!! I've spent hours and hours watching makeup hauls, tutorials, reviews etc....and contemplated doing videos of my own....seems like so much fun but I don't know if that's for me so I decided to go another route and try just the blogging. I basically just wanna share my thought with others about my experiences with certain products and ramble about random stuff! I'm looking forward to reading other blogs to see what everyone else's experiences are! Anyway, I'm looking forward to it!! And if there happens to be anyone who actually reads this lol Take Care!!!
